Two lovely sunflowers singled out among a garden full of sunflowers. Helios meaning Sun in Greek is a genus of plants comprising about 70 species. Sunflowers are usually tall annuals, growing to a height of 50-390 cm (20-154 in).
The rough and hairy stem is branched in the upper part in wild plants but is usually unbranched in domesticated cultivars.
Photograph was taken in Melbourne Florida.
